The Beauty Press Series Pre-launch Edition

IMG_0292.JPG The Beauty Press Series Pre-launch Edition was held on Thursday, 4th of December, 2014 . The event powered by Pops Concepts and Sponsored by Sleek Studios, took place at the Resource Centre Sleek Studio, Victoria Island. Beauty Press Series Pre-Launch (PBS) Edition kicked off with an opening prayer from the MC and radio personality Matila. Next was the special address from Lola of PopsConcepts who welcomed all in attendance and explained the purpose of the PBS. BEAUTY PRESS SERIES PRE-LAUNCH 7 (Medium).jpgLOLA AND MATILDA. Lola highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between beauty brands and the end users mainly, makeup artists and beauty bloggers. She explained that BPS aims at giving us direct access to beauty brands, and the advantage to try out and analyze products before they are sent into the market.

BPS is also important for beauty brands as they get firsthand feed back and recommendations from end users, which helps inform how well a product might do when it eventually gets into the market.

Makeup Artist and Beauty Blogger, Chloe was also called upon to share her blogging experiences. She showed us the contents and structure of her blog and encouraged healthy blogging habits, as this has been responsible for the increase in her blog views this year. Funke of Gifty’s Daughter spoke about her business, how she started and her growth over the years. She emphasized the need not to be mediocre and to aim at making an impact globally. BEAUTY PRESS SERIES PRE-LAUNCH 6 (Medium).jpgFUNKE AND MAKEUP MAVEN BOSS. Makeup Maven NYNG is a beauty outfit that offers quality beauty products from New York at wholesale. The lovely lady told us about her unfortunate encounter with fake products in Nigeria and abroad. This motivated her to seek out the brands directly and make it possible for people to get access to the authentic beauty products. She spoke about the need for our opinions to form part of the product formulation process as the information we provide can help the brands produce products that are more suitable for our skin type. She sensitized the audience to the importance of using natural products, and informed us that this collection is formulated with pure natural ingredients. She went on to demonstrate the use of each item in the skin care range, showing us pictures of the amazing transformations after using the Sleek Studios skin care range.
